Bloomfield Police Blotter: Auto Burglary, Stolen Cars, DUI Arrests

Bloomfield Police Department Crime Report for the week of  05-27-2013, provided by Sgt. Anthony J Servedio:

BURGLARY

05-22-2013 – An apartment was burglarized in the complex at 249 Belleville Ave. between the hours of 12:00 noon and 9:30pm on May 22, 2013. A bedroom window was determined to be the point of entry for the burglar and various pieces of jewelry were taken.

05-24-2013 – On Llewellyn Ave. a homeowner reported that an unknown suspect entered a first floor, unsecured window and stole jewelry from a bedroom at some point during the day.

05-24-2013 – At 177 Ashland Ave. the victim of a burglary reported that an unknown suspect entered a first floor unsecured window of their apartment and stole jewelry at some point during the day.

BURGLARY INTO AUTO

05-21-2013 – On Willard Ave. a 2012 Ford was broken into. An Acer computer, a cellphone, a pocket knife and some loose change were taken from the vehicle.

05-23-2012 – On Linden Ave. 1998 Honda was broken into and a Samsung cell phone was taken.

05-24-2013 – On Charles Street a victim reported that an unknown suspect broke the side window of his work vehicle and stole power tools.

05-25-2013 – On the 200 block of Davey Street a victim reported that during the night, an unknown suspect broke into his vehicle and stole a GPS unit and a radar detector.

05-25-2013 – On Fairview Place a victim reported that an unknown suspect broke into his van through the rear window and rims, tires, and various tools at some point during the night.

STOLEN VEHICLE

05-22-2013 – On the 500 block of Beardsley Ave. a 2004 Jeep was stolen.

05-26-2013 – On the 100 block of Davey Street a 2013 Ford Fusion with N.J. license plates was stolen.

05-26-2013 – On the 200 block of Ampere Parkway a 1997 Honda Accord with N.J. license plates was stolen

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

05-21-2013 – On the 400 block of Broad St. a building was spray painted.

05-23-2013 – On Church St. a the owner of a 2011 Honda reported that a window was broken.

D.U.I. ARRESTS

05-22-2013 – Carrie Lawrence of Belleville was arrested for DWI.

05-23-2013 – Salman Ismat of Montclair was arrested for DWI.

05-26-2013 – Dimitroul Konya of Woodland Park was arrested for DWI.

05-26-2013 – Brandon Harris of Bloomfield was arrested for DWI.

05-27-2013 – Qasim Captain of East Orange was arrested for DWI

ARRESTS

05-21-2013 – Guadalupe Gomez of Newark was arrested for Simple Assault.

05-22-2013 – Keith Conover of Newark was arrested for Warrants.

05-22-2013 – Robert Parks of Lodi was arrested for Burglary/Theft.

05-22-2013 – Ruben Torres of Bloomfield was arrested for Burglary/Theft.

05-22-2013 – Fuquan Chapman of East Orange was arrested for Warrants.

On May 23, 2013 Adam Fennell of East Orange and Orlando West age 52 of Hillside were arrested for possession of CDS, possession of CDS with the intent to distribute and possession of CDS within 1000 feet of a school.

Detective Harry Norris along with several other Bloomfield Police Narcotics Unit Detectives were involved in an active investigation regarding the possible possession and distribution of CDS, in and around the Grove St. train station, when they arrested the two suspects on May 23.

The first suspect, Adam Fennell was arrested while attempting to make a hand to hand drug sale and was found to be in possession of 20 Xanax  pills, 60 Percocet pills, 6 film strips of Suboxone, and 9 Suboxone pills.

The second suspect Mr. Orlando West was arrested by Sgt. Anthony Sisco when he was observed trying to discard CDS evidence while hiding from investigators behind a NJ Transit Bus Stop.

Mr. West was found to be in possession of 57 Xanax pills, 6 Percocet pills and 27 Suboxone pills.

The Honorable Judge John Paparazzo set bail at $50,000 for each of the arrestee’s with a court date pending.

05-25-2013 – Jamal Harriot of Bloomfield was arrested for DWI and possession of CDS.

On May 26, 2013 both Maria Argueta of Belleville and Cindy Suarez of Belleville were arrested for shoplifting, when they were caught trying to remove $72.21 worth of merchandise from a business located at # 8 Franklin St.

Ms. Argueta was also found to have an active warrant out of Jersey City, which she was able to post bail for and both she and Ms. Suarez were released on their own recognizance for the Bloomfield charges with a May 30, 2013 court date pending.

On May 27, 2013 Michael Brown of Bloomfield was arrested by Officers Julio Lopez and Mark Moskal for having an outstanding warrant, for which he is being held for in lieu of $2000.00 bail.

He was also found to have outstanding warrants in Clifton, Nutley and Elmwood Park which he will have to post bail for after satisfying his Bloomfield warrant.
