Giveaway: Tickets to Listen To Your Mother in NYC

listen to your motherListen To Your Mother (LTYM) is part of a 24-city series of live readings in honor of mothers and Mother’s Day. The New York City production features prominent local writers and performers telling their own tales of motherhood in all of its complexity, diversity, and humor. You’ll hear hilarious, sometimes touching, always engaging stories from moms just like you.

Ann Imig, founder of LTYM,explains what the show is all about in the video below:

Included in the cast of the NYC show are former Editor in Chief of Redbook Magazine Stacy Morrison (now Editor in Chief of, comedian Jaime Fernandez,social justice attorney and LGBT activist Nívea Castro, author Tracy Beckerman (whose book Lost in Suburbia: A Momoir we wrote about here), and a local Maplewood mom—Sandy Rustin, writer of the hit Off-Broadway show Rated P for Parenthood.

Listen to Your Mother will play at Peter Norton Symphony Space in NYC, a Barista Kids favorite City destination, on Mother’s Day, May 12 at 5 pm. You can spend the day with your family but the evening with a friend, or significant other, at this great show. Tickets are $25 ($30 on day of the show) and can be purchased here. Ten percent of ticket sales go to the charity Family-to-Family.
