Art in The Making
Watch the process of marbleized silk painting, demonstrated by Patricia Disantis of Wallingford, Ct., who uses the ancient art of water marbling. “We are floating paint on top of a prepared water bath. Using a variety of tools, we swirl the paint into beautiful patterns. We lay a piece of 14×72 white silk on top. Almost magically the picture we created bonds to the silk. Now we have a one of a kind Shibumi Silk!” says Patricia. At their booth, they invite customers to experience this process!
