Officer Pascua was first on the scene and located the victim of an assault, a 25 year old Bloomfield resident, lying on the ground and injured. Although the victim was too disoriented to give a description of his attackers, witnesses stepped forward and gave the Officers on scene a very good description of the two suspects who had committed the assault and fled on foot south on Ampere Parkway.

A short time after receiving a description of the suspects and after setting up a perimeter to search for them, Officer Thomas Lutz located two men fitting the description on Floyd Avenue.

Bruce Williams age 26 of Irvington and Terrance Murphy age 28 of Newark were both arrested after witnesses positively identified them as the men who had committed the crime.

Both men were transported to Bloomfield police HQ’s where they were charged individually with aggravated assault and endangering an injured victim. Bail was set at $85,000.00 each by The Honorable Judge Vincent Pirone and a court date of July 3, 2013 is pending.
