Discuss A Greener Bloomfield

Bloomfielders interested in reducing the township’s carbon footprint are welcome to attend a discussion, Wednesday, Aug. 7, with Greener Bloomfield. Started in 2008 by John Palomaki, the Sustainable NJ green team earned Bloomfield a bronze certification, based on efforts to get the downtown redevelopment to meet green building standards.

Meet at 7:30 in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the police building at Franklin and Montgomery. The meeting is free and open to the public. All are welcome. Steps to keep the organization going and the sustainable NJ program tied to Greener Bloomfield to be discussed.

  1. “…bronze certification, based on efforts…” What does that mean anyway? What is a bronze certification? Who gave this bronze certification to Greener Bloomfield? What is Greener Bloomfield? What is “Sustainable NJ green team?” Just asking.
