UPDATE: Buddakan of NYC just got back to us…”We do not operate a restaurant in Montclair NJ. It must be owned by another company.”
Two new, promising-looking restaurants are coming to Baristaville. Buddhakan, billed on its awning as an “Asian-Fusion Grill,” is setting up shop in the former Indigo Kitchen space on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. We can’t help but wonder if the awning contains a typo…could it be a suburban outpost of the hip Chinese restaurant: Buddakan?
And we have an update to our post about the Bar Cara closing. Chef/owner Ryan DePersio’s former restaurant in Bloomfield on Broad Street is gone, and there’s an awning up for Yellow Plum. The restaurant/bar is owned by the father and son team of Dennis and Chris Lukic.
Are you looking forward to trying these two new eateries?
