The Weekend: Theater, Comedy, Gospel Brunch, and Yoga

the-high-water-mark-01Another weekend full of great happenings. Don’t forget about the Amelia Earhart Lecture, the Open House Meet Weekend Getaway/Daytripping, going for drinks at the Lobby at Wellmont, or the Lenape34: The Origins Walk if you happen to have a three-day weekend with Columbus Day off. (Does anyone get Columbus Day off these days?)

Here are more weekend happenings:

At Luna Stage in West Orange, you can see the world premiere of a new comedy by the author of The Dangers of Electric Lighting, Ben Clawson. The High Water Mark tells the story of two women:

It’s 1:30 am. Janet is jolted awake by the unexpected arrival of Lily, her recently estranged friend, drunk and on the prowl. Janet has had a rough year and just wants to return to sleep. She has work in the morning, after all. But Lily has other ideas. Wine is poured and secrets are brought to life, as these two women navigate the night, their relationship, and the roads that lie ahead.
