The group you saw was a collection of friends and neighbors from Montclair. We know each other from our neighborhood on North Mountain, from our kids’ schools, from boards and clubs and activities in town. As this week progressed, the weather looked like it was going to cooperate, so we sent out an invite on Wednesday. The fact that the weather was good on the same day as the solstice made it even more special.
What better way to face the longest night of the year than with friends and light and song?
