  1. Losing Bobby was such an unpleasant shock. My kids attended his camp over the years, He was a self-effacing, dedicated person. RIP.

  2. I met Robert 38 years ago, and spent one week with him. We bunked together at 5 star basketball camp. For some reason, I was thinking of that week, and how much fun it was, and how awesome a person he was. Every 10 years or so, I would try to find him on the net. It’s so sad to me that I was finally able to find him because of his obit.
I am certain that he would remember me. Not because I am anything special. I had no business being at that camp. I know that he would remember me because he is special. He seemed like the kind of guy that would remember everybody!
It is a testament to him that I still think of him and his personality after all these years, and after only spending one week with him.

    “Let the side show begin…
Hurry hurry, step right on in….”
