St. Catherine of Siena Carnival

From May 29 through June 1, a continuous flow of area families and friends will find their way to the St. Catherine of Siena in Cedar Grove for the Parish’s annual Carnival.

Young children will find an ideal place to play in Kids World, a wonderland of numerous, age-appropriate games and activities, such as Golf, Fishing, Hockey Slap, Spin Art, Face Painting and Sand Art. Located in air-conditioned Siena Hall in the SCS School, Kids World has added an inflatable “bounce house” this year.

The Carnival Food Court will continue to serve delicious, perennial favorites, as well as a new delicacy — the “Pub Burger” – a six-ounce burger/cheeseburger on a Kaiser roll with fries and pickles, gourmet sandwiches, pulled pork sliders, sausage & peppers, double Italian dog,  Coney Island chili cheese dog, and a wide assortment of ‘must have’ Carnival food such as pizza, cheese steaks, chicken fingers, nachos, wings and of course, zeppoles!

The popular, tented Siena Ale House will again serve Yuengling and Coors Light drafts as well as newly- added wines. Entry Fee for patrons, with proper identification, is $6 per adult, which includes one beer, wine or sangria; refills are $ 5. While only of-age adults may purchase and enjoy alcoholic beverages,  Ale House patrons are invited to bring their families (no Entry Fee) and Food Court purchases into the Ale House to enjoy meals together. Unsupervised, under-age children will not be allowed in the Ale House.

Mmmm zeppoles. Each one takes 9 minutes off minutes off your time here on Earth, but who care! Those last couple years are no fun anyway.

I'm struck by how much attention is being paid to the details of a parking lot, as opposed to the attention paid to the future impact of the monstrous projects being planned.
