A suspicious vehicle, stolen bike and packages and fraud all happened last week in Glen Ridge crime. From Lieutenant Fred Egnezzo:

Incident: Possession of CDS
Description: Officer Ryan Schwartz observed a suspicious vehicle on Astor Pl. which was occupied with several people. Sgt. Merritt Carr responded as back up. While investigating it was discovered that the occupants of the vehicle were smoking marijuana. One 17 year old juvenile from Bloomfield, N.J. was taken into custody for possession of marijuana and transported to headquarters for processing and released to a guardian.

Description: Officer Matthew Perigo was dispatched to Essex Ave. on a report of a burglary and theft. The victim reported sometime between 9:00 AM and the time of the report unknown suspect(s) entered their garage and removed a bicycle. The suspects also went through two packages that were on the front porch. Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact Det. Michael Medico @ 973-748-5400 X120.

Description: Officer Joseph Uliano was dispatched to Appleton Rd. on a report of a fraud. The victim reported that unknown suspect(s) made two wire transfers from the victims bank account. The incident is under investigation.
During this week the Glen Ridge Police Department investigated (5) motor vehicle accidents which resulted in no injuries.
