They responded to the location and discovered a male victim dead from an apparent gun shot wound.

The victim has been identified as a Brendan Tevlin, 19, of Livingston. The preliminary investigation indicates he was targeted. No arrests have been made. At this time the investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office tips line at 1-877-847-7432.

  1. Another Land Rover/Range River carjacking attempt? Look for Essex County officials to play this down, since we are becoming the carjacking capital and there has not been a serious campaign to address.

  2. Drugs and money. You don’t shoot out the windows for a carjacking and drive around with shot-out windows.
