Bike Right Learn to Ride Class

My older daughter learned to ride her two-wheeler four years ago after taking a great “balance first” class at Bike NY. The “balance first” method takes the wheels off the bike and until kids learn how to balance on the bike before pedaling. Once they can balance, the pedaling comes easy.

This Saturday, August 2, TransOptions will be at the Essex County Environmental Center to teach a “Bike Right Learn to Ride” kids class for children ages 5 and older. Kids will learn the basics of balancing, starting, stopping, and steering a bike, as well as proper helmet fit and adjustment. All you need to bring is an eager kid, his/her helmet and a bike (without training wheels) in good working order.
