Chef-Michael-Carrino-8.19Mike Carrino, chef and partner of Pig & Prince Restaurant & Gastrolounge in Montclair, will prepare and donate approximately 500 traditional Thanksgiving Day meals to the Salvation Army. Major Kevin Stoops, of the Montclair Salvation Army Citadel, will be in attendance to offer their gratitude and pick up the food on Thanksgiving morning.

“We are happy to support the Salvation Army this Thanksgiving season for the eighth year in a row,” said  Carrino.

“We have had the good fortune of being supported by the great people of Montclair and we wanted to show our thanks by helping those within the community who are struggling this holiday season. It’s a tradition we started at Restaurant Passionné and continued with the opening of Pig & Prince in 2012. We are very excited that we reached our goal of approximately 500 meals as the Salvation Army will feed as many as 1,100 people on Thanksgiving. Our efforts will cover almost a half of those meals.”
