Bloomfield Crime: Burglary, Thefts and Many Arrests

crimeThis week’s Bloomfield crime blotter from Sgt. Anthony J. Servedio:


12/22/14 – 100 block of Orange St. Construction Site Burglary.
The construction site contractor reports that between 12/19 at 3:45 pm 12/22 at 6:45 am unknown actors burglarized the site. 700 feet of copper cable was taken from different locations at the site including locked rooms. Proceeds: Copper cable valued at $6500.

12/25/14 – 100 block of Harrison St.
At 5:50 pm a witness/victim interrupted 6 male suspects rummaging through a residence.
The suspects fled the scene. Proceeds: Red leather quilted jewelry box with assorted jewelry, and 3 pairs of basketball sneakers.


12/22/14 – 100 block of N 17th St.
A victim reported that on 12/10/14 at 2:10 am 2 suspects were walking South on N 17th St. and entered her unlocked vehicle.
Proceeds: various forms of identification, a pair of glasses, and a GPS unit.

12/28/14 – Lower end of Ridge Ave.
A victim reported that at approximately 9:00 am an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his belongings. Proceeds: Wallet and I-Phone 5


12/27/14 – 100 block of Franklin St. Car Wash
At 1:40pm a victim reported that someone had just stolen his vehicle at the car wash. The keys were still in the vehicle and the suspect was described by the victim as follows:
Male with a mask over his face, black hooded sweatshirt, 6 foot tall.
The stolen vehicle was a 2012 Dodge pickup truck with NJ license plates.


12/22/14 – 300 block of Broad St. Quick Check
The victim reported a suspect who has shoplifted from Quick Check in the past entered the store again and before police arrive the suspect allegedly shoplifted $5.00 worth of merchandise. The victim described the suspect as being:
A black female in her 30s with short hair. A silver SUV was possibly used to get away.

12/26/14 – The lower end of Martin St.
The victim reported a package was delivered on 12/18/14 at 1:45 pm hours but states she never received the package.

12/26/14 – 1000 block of Broad St.
The victim reports he is missing a package that was delivered on 12/22/14.

12/28/14 – 200 block of Belleville Ave.
The victim reported that on 12/22/14 she noticed items missing from her residence. The victim believes that a hired worker stole the items because of a verbal dispute she had with him over incomplete work.
Proceeds: Power drill, 8 camera security system, and 100 feet of electrical wire.


12/25/14 – Gloria’s Bar 36 Broad St. The victim reported that an unruly customer pushed the front door causing the glass to break.

12/24/14 – Pulaski St. The victim reported that during the night between 4:00 pm 12/23 and 7:00 am 12/24, both of the rear tires on her 2008 Hyundai were slashed.


12/26/14 – On JFK Dr. near Hinrichs Pl. a 2002 Cadillac stolen in New York on 12/22/14 was recovered.

12/27/14 – On Belleville Ave. a store manager reported that 2 females entered the A&P trying to buy items with a counterfeit $100 bill. The suspects, described by the victim only as being 2 African American females, exited the store and fled in a white 4 door vehicle before any money was exchanged.


12/24/14 – Crystal Mason age 40 of Maplewood was arrested for DUI, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and 2 counts of aggravated assault against Bloomfield officers. Bail was set at $8000.00 with a 10% cash option available which was met and Ms. Mason was released with a court date of 1/14/15 pending.


12/22/14 – Robert Restaino of Bloomfield was arrested for outstanding warrants.

12/23/14 – Jarele Badger age 28 of Jersey City was arrested and turned over to the custody of Secaucus Police for an outstanding $500.00 warrant.

12/23/14 – Carol Soto of Bloomfield was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

12/23/14 – Esteban Barrett was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

12/23/14 – Vernessa Clement of Bloomfield was arrested for credit card fraud and forgery.

12/26/14 – Stanley Aquinogarcia age 23 of Newark was arrested by Officers Robert Kish and George Bambera for possession of CDS at 12:50 am at 72 Bloomfield Ave. after investigating a disabled parking space violation.

  • Possession of CDS, marijuana under 50 grams
  • Released ROR with a court date of 1/6/15 pending

12/26/14 – Michael Lambroschino age 28 of Bloomfield was arrested at 1:31 am by Officers Luca Piscitelli and Sgt. Joseph Corio for having outstanding warrants in Bloomfield, Nutley ($1000.00) and Glen Ridge ($600.00). Mr. Lambroschino was released ROR from all jurisdictions with new court dates.

12/24/14 – Bloomfield Police responded to the 200 block of Newark Ave. on a report of an argument between 3 individuals as well as a report that one of the individuals was overheard saying “I’m going to shoot you.” The Officers located Anthony Serrano of East Orange on scene and he was arrested and charged with:

  • Unlawful possession of a weapon
  • 5 counts of possession of hollow point bullets
  • Possession with intent to distribute CDS (heroin, oxycoden, and alprazolam.)

Two other individuals were located at the scene of the reported disturbance and arrested.

Luis Rivera of Bloomfield was arrested for a $500.00 outstanding warrant

Javier Espinola of Bloomfield was arrested for:

  • Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
  • Possession with intent to distribute Alprazolam
  • Possession with the intent to distribute Endocet
  • Possession with the intent to distribute Oxycodone.

12/26/14 – Andre Drew of age 48 of Orange was picked up and taken into custody from Newark PD on an outstanding Bloomfield warrant.
Mr. drew posted bail and was released with a new court date of 1/8/15 pending.

12/27/14 – Carlos Gonzalez age 23 of East Orange was arrested by Sergeants Nicholas Polidoro and Joseph Corio after a motor vehicle stop led them to the discovery of an active warrant out of the Essex County Sheriff’s Department.

12/27/14 – Igor Gotsko age 24 of Bloomfield was arrested at 1:29 am for disorderly conduct following an investigation into a call of a disturbance at the Essex Manor on Broughton Ave. Mr. Gotsko was processed and released ROR with a court date of 1/8/15 pending.

12/28/14 – Dewayne Varner of Newark was arrested for Obstruction.

12/28/14 – Carolyn Bell age 56 of Newark was arrested by Officers Robert Estelle and Marvid Camacho at 9:16 am for allegedly shoplifting $44.00 worth of merchandise from 8 Franklin St. the Stop & Shop. Ms. Bell was processed and released ROR with a court date of 1/6/15 pending.

12/28/14 – Mark Odroniec Jr., age 24 of Belleville was arrested by Officer Michael McCracken at 9:27 pm for outstanding warrants out of East Orange ($1000.00) and Newark ($500.00). Mr. Odroniec was turned over to the custody of East Orange Police.

12/28/14 – Timothy J.Moran age 27 of Belleville was arrested by Officer Michael McCracken at 9:27 pm for an outstanding $1000.00 warrant out of Roseland. Rosland Police released Mr. Moran from custody ROR with a new court date pending.

12/28/14 – Bilal W. Robinson age 25 of Bloomfield was arrested by Sergeants Joseph Corio and Nicholas Polidoro for possession of CDS Following a motor vehicle stop at 8:45 pm on Bloomfield Ave. near JFK Dr. The sergeants were working a “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” detail when they noticed that Mr. Robinson was driving his 2004 Honda with a broken tail light. During a motor vehicle stop to issue a summons for the violation, the officers discovered that Mr. Robinson was in possession of CDS, placed him under arrest and charged him with the following:

  • Contempt for an outstanding $450.00 Bloomfield warrant
  • Possession of CDS, 10 packs of Heroin
  • Possession of CDS, 8 bags of crack cocaine
  • Possession of CDS, 13 sticks of Alprazolam
  • Possession of CDS with the intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school (multiple counts)
  • Possession of CDS within 500 feet of a park (multiple counts)
  • Possession of marijuana under 50 grams
  • Possession of CDS with the intent to distribute (multiple counts)

The Honorable Judge Vincent Pirone set bail at $50,000.00 full and a court date of 1/15/15 is pending.
