Debbie Anday, Mixologist at Ariane Kitchen & Bar in Verona offers Baristanet readers a Christmas cocktail with seasonal flavors to enjoy at your holiday meal.

Angel’s Red Shoes

  • 2 oz of Angel’s Envy Port barrel finish bourbon
  • .25 oz of Pedro Jimenez Sherry
  • .5 oz of cranberry spice syrup (Bring all to a boil and simmer for 30 minutesĀ and then strain):
    • 1 bag of fresh cranberries
    • 2 cups of sugar
    • 2 cups of water
    • 5 anise stars
    • 6 cinnamon sticks
    • 8 allspice berries

Stir and serve over large cube of ice with fresh cranberries and an orange twist.
