Students in Hillside Elementary School’s Young Entrepreneurs presented Toni’s Kitchen with a $250 donation on Friday, December 5.

The students, as part of their schoolwork, the class started a Cookie Corporation business, sold stock, then sold their product to other students and staff and made a profit. More than $900 was raised as a result of the cookie and stock sales and the corporation actually doubled their investors’ money and still were able to donate $250 to Toni’s Kitchen.

Teachers Christian Hart and Megan Murphy led the students through this aesthetic course, allowing students to experience how the stock market operates, and how small companies become successful.
