We’re still feeling the after-effects of the unusually long, bitter winter here in Montclair. Despite the support of a loyal clientele, the designer clothing store POSH D is expected to close soon.
Although the business did well during most of the year, fewer customers than usual ventured out during the exceptionally frigid winter to shop on Church Street, says shop owner Dee Lermi, causing sales to plummet along with the temperature. Snow removal and parking issues added to the problem.
“I’m sad. I don’t want to go,” says the lovely Lermi. “I love Church Street…the people are so kind. I also love the concerts, the summer nights. This has been a wonderful experience for me. So, thank you to everyone.”
All clothing in the store is now on sale at less than half of the original price. You can find flattering, fashionable dresses, blouses, pants, and skirts in a variety of unique, gorgeous prints and solids…and most items cost under $30.
After POSH D closes, Lermi will open an online store with many of the same items, plus new designs, at: www.poshdmontclair.com
