Update: Basemeant WRX is having Gallery Night, Friday, July 24, from 5-9 p.m. featuring Bonnie Maranz.
Basemeant WRX, a new pop up shop at 124 Walnut Street in Montclair, has opened offering refinished, or “rescued” furniture and home accessories.
Basemeant WRX creates “furniture, art and home accessories using locally sourced, vintage and found materials with a luxe industrial vibe.” The shop will also feature other local artisans including Forage Works, Warmth Soy Candles, The Therapist Candles and Tilia Press Stationary.
The Bloomfield husband and wife team (Chris and Aimee Danchise) started Basemeant WRX in early 2014 as an Etsy shop because they believe something worth buying is something worth keeping. They also use the tagline, “We like our furniture like we like our dogs. Rescued.”
Aimee says the temporary retail location is an opportunity to connect with clients directly, provide custom request services and host events showcasing local artists. The Summer Pop Up Shop will also feature other local artisans including Forage Works, Warmth Soy Candles, The Therapist Candles and Tilia Press Stationary.
