Halfway There, a new literary reading series in Montclair, will launch its inaugural event on September 14 at Red Eye Cafe and will feature acclaimed area writers Matthew Thomas, Abby Sher and series co-founder and New Jersey native, Nicole Haroutunian. The event will be from from 6-8:30 p.m. with readings beginning at 7 p.m. followed by an audience Q&A.

Halfway There is a quarterly event that brings together established and emerging voices, as well as local and visiting writers of fiction, nonfiction and poetry.

Founded by area local and writer Apryl Lee and writer and NJ native Nicole Haroutunian, the series is unique to the area and is an exciting addition to Montclair’s vibrant artistic community. There aren’t many places in northern New Jersey hosting an ongoing reading series like this.

Halfway There has already garnered support from authors and the local community in addition to running a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign. Books will be available for sale at the event courtesy of Watchung Booksellers. More info at Halfway There.
