This week’s food question features yet another specialty burger. The Shannon Rose Irish Pub in Clifton is celebrating National Cheeseburger Day today, Friday, September 18, with an all day special on its “Murder Burger.” (in my day, Murder Burgers are what we called White Castle’s burgers).
Shannon Rose’s Murder Burger is an Angus burger topped with American and Pepper Jack cheese, sautéed onions, jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup and Thousand Island dressing on a Brioche bun. Here’s where it gets questionable—the fully assembled burger is then soaked in Harp beer batter and deep fried.
To celebrate National Cheeseburger Day, The Shannon Rose is offering the Murder Burger for just $5 (normally $13) all day today, September 18.
