There will be no better way to spend this upcoming weekend than by visiting the 16th annual Fall Fine Art and Crafts at Brookdale Park show in Bloomfield/Montclair where you will meet over 150 juried fine artists and fine crafters, taste a variety of foods, and enjoy a jazz concert all at Essex County’s Brookdale Park.
Co-sponsored by Rose Squared Productions, Inc. and the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, from 10 am to 5 pm, rain or shine, this free to the public show celebrates American Craft week by exhibiting American made, hand crafted work, in jewelry, fiber, leather, glass, metal and wood as well as fine art, sculpture and fine photography.
Penwah, singer and actor, will host and perform at the jazz concert both days from noon – 4pm. Anita Gates of the New York Times called Penwah “a considerable stage presence.” Penwah is a Grammy nominee and a 2X Audelco Award Winner and has had a recurring role on Family Matters as well as appearances on Blue Bloods and The View. Saturday will feature Cynthia Holiday, Richard Reiter and Antoinette Montague and Sunday will feature Linda Bianchi and the Rutgers University Jazz Band in addition to Penwah performing.
New photographers Ken Smith and Debra Placky, new fine artist Emily Ennulat-Lustine and new fiber artists Melinda Czeczon and Carl Mateo will be joining many other new exhibitors attending this year’s show to delight the senses with their creations.
