Incident: Theft
Description:
Officer Brendan Sim was dispatched to Ridgewood Ave on a report of a bicycle theft. The victim reported that they locked their bicycle to a post at the Ridgewood Ave. train station and when they returned later in the day it was missing. The bicycle was taken sometime during the day and is valued at $650.00. Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact Det. Michael Medico @ 973-748-5400 X120.

Description:
Officer Matthew Perigo was dispatched to the Ridgewood Ave. train station on a report of a bicycle theft. The victim reported that they had locked their bike at the train station and when they returned later in the day it was missing. Incident: Criminal Mischief/Graffiti
Description:
Officer Christopher Grogan was dispatched to Forest Ave. School on a report of graffiti on the playground equipment. The graffiti was photographed for evidence.

Incident: Aggravated Assault/Possession of a Weapon Arrest
Description:
Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Ridgewood Ave. on a report of an aggravated assault in progress. The victim reported while cutting a lawn on Ridgewood Ave. the home owner, came out and using a hammer started to hit the lawnmower and attempted to hit the victim while screaming at him. The suspect fled running back into their house. Officers obtained an arrest warrant and forced entry into the home talking Anne Podesta, 54 of Glen Ridge, N.J. into custody. Ms. Podesta was charged and transported to the Essex County Jail in Newark, N.J.

The victim reported that they locked their bicycle to a post at the Ridgewood Ave. train station and when they returned later in the day it was missing. During this week the Glen Ridge Police Department investigated (6) motor vehicle accidents which resulted in no injuries.
