Halfway There Reading Series to Showcase Four NJ Writers in December

halfway there

Halfway There, a literary reading series in Montclair, that launched in September  at Red Eye Cafe will host its second event on the 14th.

Halfway There is a quarterly event that brings together established and emerging voices, as well as local and visiting writers of fiction, nonfiction and poetry.

Founded by area local and writer Apryl Lee and writer and NJ native Nicole Haroutunian, the series is unique to the area and is an exciting addition to Montclair’s vibrant artistic community. There aren’t many places in northern New Jersey hosting an ongoing reading series like this.

On December 14, doors will open at 6 pm for coffee, snacks, book-buying and mingling. Readings will start at 7 pm and will feature writers Tobias Carroll, Claudia Cortese, Hillary Frank, and Naomi J. Williams — all either New Jersey natives or New Jersey residents. Watchung Booksellers will be on hand to sell books.
