Glen Ridge Man Skateboarded 450 Miles for Charity

Eric Sherman Memorial Scholarship

Tommy Nisenson, of Glen Ridge, and his best friend Jason, skateboarded 450 miles from NYC to NH to raise over $17,000 for the Eric Sherman Memorial Scholarship, which sends underprivileged kids to camp for the summer. Eric Sherman, Jason’s older brother, passed away at the age of 21 after a four year battle with Leukemia.

“I grew up skateboarding with the two of them in NYC,” says Nisenson. “Eric was truly an amazing person and skateboarder. Jason and I wanted to celebrate his life by going on a one of a kind skate trip, something that he would have loved,” he added.
