One of my favorite Montclair Film Festival traditions is back — The Montclair Film Festival’s Kids Art Project!
As you read this, students in schools all over town are busy illustrating their favorite films.
This year, although the special paper for the artwork is in black and white, all artwork submitted needs to be in color. While the basic drawing may be in pencil, color MUST be an element in this year’s pictures.
The special papers for drawings will available at one location in each business district this year. In Upper Montclair, visit Olive That and More at 246 Bellevue Avenue. At Watchung Plaza papers may be picked up and dropped off at Watchung Booksellers on Fairfield Street. In Frog Hollow, Mathnasium (147 Valley Road) is the contact spot. The Walnut and Grove area is covered by Red Eye Café at 94 Walnut Street, and the South End Business District is coordinated by Drs. Barnes and Carter at 319 Orange Road. The downtown Business District, covering Bloomfield Avenue and its cross streets, will be divided into two areas: east and west of Fullerton Avenue. Papers can be picked up or dropped off at Studio 042 (423 Bloomfield Avenue) or LaCrosse Unlimited at 26 South Park. You can pick up and drop off at different locations.
All drawings are due by April 15th, so get started today. Be part of the 5th Montclair Film Festival. Check www.facebook.com/KidsArtProjectGallery for updates and locations of artwork. If you find your picture, be sure to post a photo of you with your creation!
