Last summer, after being disgnosed with breast cancer, Debbie Galant, who left Baristanet in 2012 to head up NJ News Commons, started sharing her story on The Chemo Files, a podcast she created with her son Noah Levinson.

Now, the mother and son team from Glen Ridge is being honored with a June L. Biedler Prize for cancer reporting in the Online/multimedia category.

The winners in each category will be presented with a $5,000 cash prize and a plaque on Sunday, April 17 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Congratulations Debbie and Noah!
