The Cozy End, a luncheonette that has been in town since 1969, has closed. Locals will no longer have what some say was a “Cheers-feel” type of place to enjoy a meal. It’s also a big loss for those on gluten-free diets, as The Cozy End had an extensive menu offering tasty GF-food.

Michael Awad purchased The Cozy End from the original owners, Armando and Anna Masucci, when they retired in 1997.  Baristanet spoke with Awad who said the reason for closing was the skyrocketing lease cost.
