Sara Martin, a seventh-grader at Buzz Aldrin middle school, has raised close to $400 to help the town’s animal shelter, which was damaged in a fire, by selling her own nature photographs at Sandwich Theory in Upper Montclair.

An avid photographer and animal lover, Sara is also a regular volunteer at the shelter. “I love animals, so it felt like the right thing to do,” she says. She will continue to fundraise with a new photography exhibit at Sandwich Theory, this time to raise awareness about the dangers of puppy mills. Stop by Sandwich Theory (590 Valley Road, Upper Montclair) to check out her work.
