Montclair Crime: Stolen Cars, Thefts, Arrests, and Vandalism at Watchung School Playground

Montclair Crime: Storm-Related Incidents, Theft, Attempted BurglaryThe week in Montclair Crime from D/Lt. David O’Dowd, Montclair Police Department:

Arrest:

10-04-2016 (CVS, Bloomfield Avenue) Ms. Dominique Weaver, 30yoa from Newark, was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She was also discovered to have an open warrant out of Newark ($500)

10-04-2016 (North Mountain Avenue) Mr. Roderick Carter, 25yoa from Bloomfield, was arrested on open warrants out of Irvington ($500)

10-04-2016 (CVS, Bloomfield Avenue) Mr. Carter Brown, 23yoa from Newark, was arrested for shoplifting. He provided a false name to Officers on scene. He was discovered to have open warrants out of County Probation Philadelphia (No bail), Essex County Sheriff’s Office (No bail), Union County Sheriff’s Office (No bail), Newark ($10,000.00) Bloomfield ($500.00) Mr. Brown was additionally charged with the following local Montclair charges; Resisting arrest, Hindering apprehension, and Shoplifting.

10-08-2016 (North Fullerton Avenue) Mr. Adriano Manzo, 29yoa from Montclair, was arrested and charged with DWI after fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.

Burglary/Theft:

10-04-2016 (Cambridge Road) Theft from a motor vehicle parked in a residential driveway. A cellular telephone was taken in this incident.

10-06-2016 (Orange Road) A 2015 Nissan Pathfinder was stolen from a residential driveway. This vehicle was later recovered in the city of Newark.

10-07-2016 (Llewellyn Road) Theft of an Audi A4 from a residential driveway.

10-07-2016 (Upper Mountain Avenue) Theft from two motor vehicles. Loose change was taken.

10-07-2016 (YMCA, Park Street) A gym bag, containing a wallet and cash, was stolen from the men’s locker room.

10-07-2016 (Walnut Street Train Station) Theft of a bicycle which had been locked to the station bike rack.

10-08-2016 (Maple Avenue) A resident of Maple Street observed an unknown male sitting in the passenger seat of his vehicle. When confronted, this suspect fled the area on foot. He is described as a black male, 24-27 years old, 6′ 00″ in height, skinny build with a beard and mustache.

Miscellaneous:

10-04-2016 (Watchung School) Vandalism of the playground equipment. Graffiti was written in numerous areas in black marker.
