We told you about:
Here’s what else is happening:
Colin Hay — the frontman, songwriter and vocalist behind pop sensation Men at Work (“Down Under,” “Overkill,” “Who Can It Be Now”) — performs new songs and greatest hits at NJPAC tonight. Hay has reinvented himself as a solo artist, regularly selling out venues across the U.S. and around the world, and introducing himself to a new generation of fans. The frequent use of his music in TV and film – including the hit shows Scrubs (on which he made several cameo appearances), Army Wives and Modern Family, and the soundtracks to the films Garden State and Words and Pictures – has proven the timeless appeal of his songs.

See New Jersey Ballet: Carmen with Don Quixote and Tango at MAYO Performing Arts Center on Saturday night. NJ Ballet’s sizzling season opener features passion with a Spanish flavor. George Tomal’s feature length ballet, Carmen, is shot through with intensity and an edgy sense of foreboding. The wedding pas de deux from Don Quixote shows a romance with a lighter outcome. Rounding out the evening, Johan Renvall’s high voltage Tango is a unique blend of tango-dancing and classical ballet that the New York Times described as “..tantalizing…sultry…explosive.”
