This home furnishings store and design studio specializes in furniture, lighting, accessories and gifts. As a design studio it carries a selection of over 1,000 fabrics, wall coverings, custom designed upholstered floor samples, well-priced furniture, lighting, and home fragrances.

Distinctively modern and eclectic with a rustic feel, the vibe definitely has a Montclair beat. Among the large offerings in the showroom, are town pillows, featuring Montclair, Upper Montclair, Glen Ridge and Essex Fells, all exclusively designed for m.francesco.

Remember Contessa Designs in Verona, New Jersey? In 2005, Mario founded this boutique specializing in furnishings and accessories for the home both luxurious and practical. Contessa Designs evolved to become a full service interior and exterior design business with clients located in New Jersey, New York and Florida.

Mario will take his clients’ room designs and layouts to new heights with fabrics, trims, wall coverings, window treatments, accessories and furnishings, His specialty is custom color concepts, upholstery and re-upholstery. While operating two specialty boutiques in Millburn, he launched the private label “Mariano Francesco” line of natural fiber fabrics. These fabrics are made of cotton, linen, wool and other natural fibers and are suitable for use in draperies and upholstery.

About Mariano Francesco
Dynamic and talented, Mario has been conceiving inspired room design for over 25 years. Beginning in retail, Mario’s focus was on elegant and affordable accessories and furnishings for the home. He worked directly for Eugene Kalkin, founder of Linens and Things at Kalkin & Co. in Bergen County, NJ. Mario then became a designer with Richard Roberts Ltd., a home furnishings store with locations in northern New Jersey, where he met his husband Robert.

Mario is committed to the community in which he lives and works; he has already set up give-back programs to local charities in Montclair, like the YMCA.
