The Flemtones

The Flemtones will perform at Tierney’s Tavern in Montclair on Friday night—a way to end 2016 right. The Flemtones play an eclectic mix of rock n roll cover tunes that stylistically include blues, r&b, roots rock, folk, country, pop, and a little bit of funk or jazz thrown in for good measure. They have been playing together in various incarnations and under a few different names (to stay a step ahead of the law) since they met at MHS in the mid-1970’s.

The Flemtones
Friday, December 30 from 10 pm – 1 am
Tierney’s Tavern, 136 Valley Road, Montclair, NJ, 07042
$5 cover

Head to Morristown to celebrate New Year’s Eve at First Night Morris County on Saturday. For the past 25 years, the event has brought world-class entertainment to Morristown on New Year’s Eve.  While some First Nights have either disappeared (Sigh, Montclair…), First Night Morris County has found a way to keep the energy and excitement going and today, proudly holds the title of New Jersey’s largest First Night celebration.

First Night Morris
Saturday, December 31 beginning at 4:45 pm
Mayo Performing Arts Center, 100 South Street, Morristown, NJ
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online here

I was assigned to chimney security today at middle school in the State of Washington, to prevent Betsy DeVoss from trying to climb in that way when she couldn't get in the front door. Protesters abounded below while I rode shotgun on the roof. We're with Montclair all the way. Glad you're here MontClairVoyant!
