If you are reading this post, I want to thank you for being part of Baristanet. For more than 12 years, it’s been a privilege to bring 24/7 news, views, food, culture and more to the Montclair area.

Whether it’s giving you up-to-the-minute Montclair bear news, keeping you informed about a possible charter school or issues of development and redevelopment, getting you breaking news or news of a ground breaking, keeping track of the latest restaurants, showcasing new talent or recognizing and remembering special people in our community, Baristanet is always there.

Baristanet supports the community — sponsoring special moments like Bedtime Stories at Montclair Library’s Little Read, and serving as media sponsor for big events like the Montclair Jazz Festival as well as new events like MVAU’s First Annual Duck Derby. We also serve to shine a light on issues that affect the community, such as racial inequity, affordable housing and gentrification.

Baristanet cares about kids — your kids — their accomplishments, issues in their schools and helping their parents, with things like choosing camps or planning for family fun every weekend. We tell you about teens doing amazing things and share the stories that tug on your heartstrings.

Baristanet brings you news you can use — from guides to working out, helpful and humorous advice, homes for sale as well as home sales.

Baristanet hosts a community calendar allowing any community organization or group to post special events free of charge. And to keep you informed, we produce weekly and monthly calendars featuring the music, art, lectures and other cultural events you don’t want to miss. We also get great ticket giveaways that make our readers very happy.

If you have a pet, you know Baristanet is the place to help readers and lost pets reunite. If you are a new business owner, you’ve experienced the power of Baristanet — when our readers read about you and become your customers. If you are a local school, institution or organization, Baristanet supports your events and help drive volunteers, awareness or donations to your cause.
