Congress is in recess this week for the first time since President Trump’s inauguration. The break is an opportunity for members to get out in their communities to meet with constituents and hear their concerns. The WNYC Town Hall Tracker offers a tool for New Jersey residents to search by their address and find any town halls that are scheduled by their congressional representatives.
Here’s how it works:
WNYC has contacted the Congress members representing its listening area at least three times to ask if they are hosting a town hall this coming week. These meetings are listed in our Town Hall Tracker at wnyc.org. Constituents can enter their address in the tool and will see their three Congress members – one House representative and two senators. If their members have a town hall meeting, the tracker will show the date/time of the event, as well as the location with a map. Users will also see their Congress members’ district office phone number, Twitter handle, and link to online contact page.
