Help Us Shine a Light on Montclair’s Darkest Streets

Baristanet and PLANETCIVIC have teamed up to identify the darkest corners of Montclair so that we might share this information with the Town Council and PSEG on March 28. So far, Montclair residents have identified Orange Road, from Hillside to Myrtle, where two lights are out; Bloomfield Avenue, from Pine St. to Grove; Upper Mountain Ave. / North of Van Vleck, Erie Park (at Walnut & Christopher) and six other places of concern. If you want to vote for one of these places, or identify a heavily trafficked area where the street lights are inadequate or broken, share your feedback here.

  1. A 96% waxing gibbous Moon tonight. Note the star just the slightest bit West of the Moon. That is Regulus, the brightest star in the constellation Leo and the 21st brightest star in Earth’s nighttime sky.

  2. It is the 21st brightest star in Earth’s nighttime sky.
C’mon, it is right there. I know you can see it.
    You can’t?

Well, take my word for it. Regulus is there.

Or, book a SpaceX trip and see for yourself!
