Montclair FD Responded to Car Fire on North Fullerton Avenue This Morning

Early morning on Monday, March 20, the Montclair Fire Department responded to a car fire on North Fullerton Avenue in Montclair. Deputy Chief Robert Duncan reports:

At 7:49am this morning the Montclair Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire on North Fullerton Ave. The FD arrived to find a vehicle with its engine compartment fully engulfed in flames. On scene units quickly extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire was the ignition of leaking power steering fluid that came into contact with the exhaust system. Fire damage to the vehicle was extensive.
