Sgt. Thomas Westerlund worked as a juvenile correctional officer at Jamesburg Correctional Facility prior to becoming a Montclair police officer in 2002. Sgt. Edward Csuka worked with the Cranford Police Department prior to joining the Montclair police force in 2006. He is currently a department Field Training Officer and, in multiple years, has been the department’s most productive officer in DWI enforcement.
Lt. Robert Romito worked for the Somerset County Sheriff prior to becoming a Montclair Police officer in 1998. He also served as a detective in the Detective Bureau and has been a member of the Critical Response Team for many years. Lieutenant Romito was also instrumental in organizing the highly successful Police Department-PBA annual Santa visit, which afforded the department an opportunity to partner with the Salvation Army to provide thousands of presents to children in need during the holidays.
