Montclair Farmers’ Market will kick off its 25th season this Saturday, June 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Walnut Street Train Station parking lot. The weekly market officially runs all summer and through the fall until Thanksgiving; all five familiar family farmers will return again this season, plus 15 specialty food artisans.
Additionally, this will be the third season in which SNAP, WIC, and Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program participants are offered double the value of their coupons, thanks to a generous grant from Partners for Health.
The Montclair Farmers’ Market is proud to have spearheaded the locally-sourced, fresh food movement a quarter-century ago; it remains a popular meeting place for hundreds of residents, visitors, families and friends who enjoy not only the healthy, tasty foods, but also a tangible sense of community due to the presence of the growers, chef-prepared food tastings, non-profit display tables, and musical entertainment.
