Humans, Dogs Invited to Newark Museum Outdoor “Dog Days of Summer” Film Series

Pooches and their families are invited to watch movies under the stars at the Newark Museum’s Dog Days of Summer film series. The screenings will take place Thursdays August 10, 17 and 24 at 8:30 pm in the Museum’s Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden. The Museum is located at 49 Washington St., Newark, and parking is available on site for a fee.

Ubie, pooch of Shunzu Haigler, the Newark Museum’s Membership Director, is excited to attend.

All films in the series are family-friendly. The schedule is as follows:

August 10: The Secret Life of Pets

August 17: Good Boy

August 24: Hotel for Dogs

Admission to Dog Days of Summer series is free for Museum members, Newark residents, children under 10 and pets. Non-members can purchase tickets for $10 per person for each Thursday or $25 for all three weeks of the series. To purchase or reserve free tickets, visit Non-alcoholic beverages will be served by the Museum and attendees are welcome to bring food. Attendees will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival stating that their pet will remain on a leash and be cleaned up after. In case of inclement weather, please check the Museum’s website.
