Montclair Sets Up Collection Spots for Hurricane Maria Relief Effort

The Township of Montclair has initiated a collection effort to assist those affected by Hurricane Maria which
devastated Puerto Rico. The Township Mayor and Council, Montclair Police, Fire and Health departments,
Montclair Public Library, the Township of Bloomfield, the City of Newark, and the County of Essex are seeking donation items listed below to distribute on the island of Puerto Rico:


• diapers
• baby food
• flashlights and batteries
• first aid supplies
• feminine hygiene products


Montclair Municipal Building, 205 Claremont Avenue
Police Headquarters, 647 Bloomfield Avenue
Fire Headquarters, 1 Pine Street
Fire Station #2, 588 Valley Road
Fire Station #3, 151 Harrison Avenue
Montclair Public Library, Main Branch, 50 South Fullerton Avenue
Montclair Public Library, Bellevue Avenue Branch, 185 Bellevue Avenue

The Township is collecting only the above items at this time. All donation items must be non-perishable,
not second-hand, no liquids of any kind.

The collection drive will run through Thursday, October 5, 3:00 p.m. at all locations.
