Shop Upper Montclair this Saturday and enjoy the biggest sales of the year at the 41st annual Upper Montclair Sidewalk Sale. There will be face painting, tag sales, terrific bargains and fun events like The Little Daisy Bake Shop’s 2nd Annual Pie-Eating Contest at 1pm (on the front lawn at St. James Church, Valley Road & Bellevue).

The Montclair Board of Education will have a table at the Upper Montclair sidewalk sale, from noon to 4 p.m. The table will be located near the corner of Bellevue and Valley. Members of the BOE will be present to answer questions; the District will also make information materials available. The BOE hopes people who can’t make the nightly BOE board meetings can stop by to ask questions and have their voices heard.

In addition to the Sidewalk Sale, scope out more than 160 artists and crafters displaying their work in Anderson Park on both Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 16-17) during the Fine Art and Crafts Fair, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.

Check out the Friends of Anderson Park’s raffle table at the park’s northeast entrance, near Bellevue Avenue. Donations from local merchants include restaurant and entertainment gift certificates, jewelry, pet treats, toys, Turtleback Zoo membership and lots more. Proceeds from the raffle makes tree-planting possible in Anderson Park!
