Thanksgiving Pies! Where To Get Them Before They Are Gone

Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without pie for dessert. From the all-American apple pie to pumpkin and pecan, to more untraditional but very tasty pie options, there is a pie for every taste that will satisfy a sweet tooth after a delicious holiday meal. If you’re looking for pie, you won’t have to go far. There are plenty of pies — what’s your favorite?

The Pie Store’s key lime pie

The Pie Store in Upper Montclair’s Watchung Plaza will be offering up its tasty treats on a first come, first served basis only, with no pre-ordering available. Available pies will be Apple, Raspberry-Blackberry-Apple, Apple-Cranberry, Chocolate Mousse, Key Lime, and Pumpkin. The store will be open until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, but don’t wait too long! Pies from $12.95 to $29.95.

Tiny Elephant

Tiny Elephant, also in Watchung Plaza on Fairfield Street in Montclair, Classic Apple Pie and Classic Pumpkin Pie on their full Thanksgiving Catering menu. Each is $20. Cookie platters are also available. Order by November 19 for pick up on November 22.

In The Company of Yum’s Peanut Butter Mousse pie

In the Company of Yum will offer a variety pies and other baked goods. Pre-order by November 17. The Thanksgiving menu include classics like apple, pumpkin, and pecan, as well as specialties such as The Man Pie, Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie, and Granny’s Pie. Pies are $18 to $25.

Plum Bakery

Plum Bakery on Glenridge Avenue in Montclair is the perfect spot for gluten-free pies. Place and pre-pay your order by November 18. Pie varieties include Pumpkin, Pecan, Apple Crumb, Coconut Custard, Cranberry Apple Crumb, and Key Lime, available in 4” or 8” sizes. Cakes, breads, and other baked goods are also available to round out your gluten-free holiday meal.

Treelicious Orchards offers online ordering for pick-up at the Montclair Farmer’s Market location at Walnut Street Station on Tuesday, November 21, between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Be sure to choose the Montclair pick-up site when ordering. Options include Apple, Apple-Blueberry, Apple-Cherry, Apple-Pear-Cranberry, Blueberry, Cherry, Mixed Berry, No Sugar Apple, and No Sugar Apple-Pear with your choice of pastry or crumb topping. Pumpkin Pie is also available. Pies are $15 each. Orders must be placed by November 20.

Nicolos

Nicolo’s Italian Bakery will have four pie varieties available for Thanksgiving orders. Choose from Pumpkin, Apple, Blueberry, or Cherry, all $12 each. Place your order by November 21.

Pure Love Pies

Pure Love Pies, recently opened at 1042 Broad Street in Bloomfield, is offering Thanksgiving pies for pre-order. Choose from Butternut Squash, Navy Bean, Sweet Potato, coconut Custard, Apple, or Pecan. A variety of cakes are also available. Can’t decide? Check out the Pie Packages which include four to five family favorites. Pies must be ordered by November 21. Single pies are $15 to $25.

 

Anthony’s Brookie Pie

 

Anthony’s Cheesecake on Washington Street in Bloomfield has pies available for pre-order. The selection includes Pumpkin Cream Cheese, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Apple, Blueberry, Brookie, and Pecan Chocolate Chip. Pie prices range from $17 to $23. Cakes, cheesecakes, and other desserts are available. The store will be open until 12:00 PM on Thanksgiving Day.

If you like your pie a la mode, Applegate Farm Ice Cream will have pies for sale as well as all their seasonal flavors (pumpkin anyone?) for topping your pies.
