Bivio Says So Long To Bread and Hello To Pizza(!) in Montclair

Fans of Bivio’s amazing bread may be in mourning, but longtime fans of Bivio’s pizza are rejoicing, now that Bivio has quietly gone from baking bread to creating the pizzas Tomasso Colao became known for with his hugely popular former pizza business, Bivio Pizzeria Napoletana in Little Falls (we wrote about Bivio back in 2014 and then raved about them in Where to Eat Pizza).

The pizzas at Bivio on Pine Street in Montclair started coming out of the oven at the end of November. We dropped by for a pie the other night and Colao’s pizza Napoletana is still incredible. The old-world vibe of the restaurant compliments the historic Pine Street area; dining at Bivio feels like being transported to a simpler time.

Pizzas range from $12-$18 and there’s usually a special pie, like the one with sausage pictured above.
