Lost Guinea Hen Near Alexander and Valley in Montclair

A reader writes…

A lovely Guinea Hen has been eating bugs and roosting in the neighborhood of Alexander and Valley. This afternoon she was almost killed when she wandered into Valley Road. She is very scared and won’t let anyone near her. With the cold weather arriving later this week, she will be at further risk. If anyone has lost her, please come retrieve her before she meets a gruesome ending. The local animal control officers cannot help because they are too busy. The Raptor Trust will help us find a farm where she can live, but only if she can be caught. Guinea Hens are domesticated birds. If you have any information about her, please contact Susan at 973-600-9385
