Montclair BOE Announces Names Of Three Final Candidates For Superintendent Position

The final three candidates for the job of Montclair Schools Superintendent were announced Tuesday night at the Montclair Board of Education meeting.

The finalists are:

  • Rachel Goldberg, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction at Passaic Public Schools
  • Kendra Johnson, assistant superintendent for equity at Montclair Public Schools
  • Ross Kasun, superintendent, Freehold Public Schools

Bios of the three candidates will be placed on the district website. The public will be able to meet the three candidates at the Superintendent Candidate Q&A Public Forum, Monday, February 26, 6:30 p.m. at Montclair High School Auditorium.

  1. This is a very important decision for the district. After reviewing the resumes provided on the district website, I believe that Dr. Ross Kasun is the best choice for Montclair.

  2. Look at the bios. Montclair has never and will not choose the “best” candidate. Its going to (continue to) be a bumpy ride….nothing changes in this town.
