Scenes From SVPA’s Winter Drama: The House Of Blue Leaves

Montclair High’s School of Visual and Performing Arts (SVPA) takes on The House of Blue Leaves by American playwright John Guare which opened off Broadway in 1971. Set in in 1965, when Pope Paul VI visited New York City, The House of Blue Leaves is a dark comedy with some unexpected twists and turns, focusing on a day in the life of one family in Queens as they face the Vietnam draft, mental illness, and the American obsession with fame and success.
