Sweet Kitchen, which opened this week on the corner of Park Street and Bloomfield Ave. (in the former Hip Chic space) deliciously delivers on its name.
The pretty bakery cafe, with its exposed brick, tin ceiling and cafe tables that make you want to stay and linger over coffee drinks (made with Illy coffee!), is getting its groove, by whipping up a diverse array of baked goods and seeing what customers like most (you might even see a Cruffin). Besides sinful sweets, we also love that they are offering freshly made sandwiches and savory tarts like a Parisian cafe.
Some yummy offerings include croissants, brioches filled with sweet cream and strawberries, decadent chocolate treats, glistening mousse, as well as French toast and egg sandwiches. What we want to try: cakes with injectible fillings.
