Montclair Crime: Man in Car Attempts to Lure Young Girl, Theft, Arrests


The week in Montclair Crime from Detective Lieutenant David O’Dowd, Montclair Police Department:


03-29-2018 (Walnut Street) Mr. Damon Brackett, 38yoa from Michigan, was arrested and charged with DWI

03-29-2018 (Bloomfield Avenue) Ms. Jamie Bandinelli, 21yoa from Bayonne, was arrested and charged with DWI


03-28-2018 (S. Park Street) Theft of an unattended cellular telephone.  

03-30-2018 (Jacks, N. Fullerton) Theft of lottery scratch-off tickets.  The suspect, an elderly African American male, approximately 6’ tall, waited until the clerk was distracted and grabbed the tickets off the store counter.  

04-01-2018 (New Jin Lin Chinese Restaurant) Theft of the tip jar from the store register area.  

04-01-2018 (Delta, Harrison Avenue) Theft of gas.  The vehicle, a 4-door Black Honda, fled the scene after receiving a full tank.    

04-02-2018 (Glenwood Avenue) Theft of silverware from a home.  There was no sign of forced entry.


03-29-2018 (Midland Avenue) A 12yoa female was standing on Midland Avenue when she was approached by a white male in his 70’s with gray hair operating a silver/gray Honda Accord with dark tinted windows.  The male stated “come on, get in the car” before speeding away, southbound on Midland Avenue.
