Montclair Crime: Vandalism, Package Theft, Arrests


The week in Montclair crime from D/Lt. David O’Dowd, Montclair Police Department:


04-04-2018 (Greenwood Avenue) A 28-year-old Montclair man was arrested on an open warrant out of Newark ($10,000)

04-06-2018 (Upper Mountain Avenue) A 38-year-old Jersey City woman was arrested and charged with DWI.

04-07-2018 (Bloomfield Avenue) A 51-year-old Montclair man was arrested on open warrants out of Essex County Sheriff and Bloomfield.

04-08-2018 (Lackawanna Plaza) A 54-year-old Montclair man was arrested on open warrants out of Newark and Montclair totaling $932.


04-03-2018 (Claremont Avenue) Theft of delivered packages from the front of a residence. These packages contained jewelry.

04-03-2018 (Highland Avenue) Theft of a delivered package containing clothing items from the front porch of a residence.

04-04-2018 (Walnut Street) Theft of electronics which had been delivered to the front porch of a home.

04-05-2018 (South Fullerton Avenue) Theft of a wallet from an unlocked motor vehicle.

04-05-2018 (Hawthorne Place) Theft of a handicap placard from an unlocked motor vehicle.

04-09-2018 (Ramsey Road) Burglary to a residence. Foreign coins were taken in this incident.

04-09-2018 (Upper Mountain Avenue) Theft of loose change from a parked vehicle.


04-06-2018 (Montague Place) Vandalism to a motor vehicle. Letters were scratched into the vehicle’s passenger door and hood.

04-06-2018 (Valley Road) Vandalism to a parked vehicle. Marks were spray painted all around the vehicle.
